Duties
The Clambake Catering Staff members are our representatives to the customer. You must always be clean, neat and presentable in appearance and professional in demeanor.  Good manners, a calm, happy demeanor and polite language are absolutely required for this position.
1. You may be requested to study for and pass the ServSafe Food Safety certification program with a score of 85 or higher. Examinations held in early June 2009.  Go to http://www.servsafe.org for details.
2. Learn to prepare standard menu food products and package them for serving at catered clambake events.
3. Maintain the kitchen and storage areas in a clean, sanitary and health-inspection ready condition at all times.  Pack foodstuff, equipment and papergoods and load vehicles for transport catering event sites (requires ability to lift and carry weight of up to 50 pounds without injury). 
4. Unpack, set up site for event. Prep and cook clambake meals on site. Set up buffet service and restock buffet food and service items as necessary.
5. Tear down buffet service after party, repack all unused items and equipment into vehicle together with trash and return it to the commercial kitchen.
6. Deposit trash in appropriate place.  Unpack and reshelf unused papergoods. Unpack and properly store equipment. Clean and scrub pots and pans, utensils and cold storage containers.  Clean and sanitize surfaces as needed.
Wages and Hours
WAGES: Twelve Dollars ($12.00) per hour during training period.  Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) per hour after training period.   No guaranteed minimum or maximum hours. 
HOURS:  Variable as conditions require.  Workdays variable as conditions require. This is seasonal work from the June through September.
